DAGALA THOUSAND LAKE TREK
Itinerary
Hike to Taktsang (Tiger Nest). Then visit to Kyichu temple (one of the oldest temples built in 7th century by Tibetan King Songtshen Gompo. Overnight at hotel in Paro
After breakfast, drive to Thimphu and sightseeing in Thimphu (Buddha point, memorial chorten, Heritage museum, Changangkha temple, ZorigChusum and Takin zoo). By evening Thimphu city tour and night in Thimphu
Drive for 45 minutes to reach the starting point of the trek. Then hike through mule path passing by terraced fields and coniferous forest. Overnight camp at Gyenakha (2800m) alongside a stream
The trek begins with the view of varieties of flora and fauna and as you climb higher and higher, you can see the picturesque view of valley. Overnight camp at Gur village
While walking across the ridges, we enjoy the beauty of the rugged mountain vegetation and we can see some eatable plants grown there. The first pass marked by a large cairn gives a spectacular view of the whole Dagala range, alpine meadows and Yak harder’s camp. Overnight camp near Yutsho Lake
This day is for excursion to different lakes like Relitsho, Hentsho and Jamatsho where your guide will share you many different related mythical stories about the lakes. Overnight camp
The day is for excursion to Sertsho and nearby lakes where you can some time watching over the fish (trout) and also you can try climbing Jomo (5050m) peak and you can try enjoying the spectacular view of all ranges and peaks where it can be a wonderful experience. Overnight camp
After breakfast, drive to airport for flight to onward destination.
